Matt Soria's Halloween
I freaking love Halloween, and watching spooky movies. This is a place for me to keep a little record of what my family and I (mostly I) did, watched, and listened to each Halloween.

It's crazy this was made in 1979. There's only two shots that don't look amazing: the ship explosion, and the full body alien at the end. Otherwise everything looks absolutely incredible, and it's genuinely scary.

Holy shit. I thought this was fantastic. I don't know the last time I was that anxious or on edge watching a movie. The fear and dread I felt over the visual horror (like jump scares, visuals, gore) was probably equal to what I felt with some of the scenarios or subtext. It was unlike anything I've seen. Visually it was also beautiful. An instant classic.
